Kirkby Malzeard, Dallowgill and Laverton Parish Council Kirkby Malzeard is a village in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It has a population of about 800 people, with a further 200 or so living in the nearby farming areas of Laverton and Dallowgill. Although Kirkby is small it certainly isn't sleepy. We are well served by three shops, two pubs, doctors surgery, garage, tea-room, school, pre-school and much more. Many of the activities and events are organised and enjoyed by local people and from May through until November we are joined by many holiday makers. Dallowgill is situated overlooking Kirkby Malzeard to the west. Laverton can be found by following the road out of the top of the village to the south west.
